Foundation Laying Ceremony of SDC Building

The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam Sri Tarun Gogoi laid the Foundation stone of the State Data Center Building in the Assam Secretariat on the 16th March, 2010 at 4.30 PM in presence of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Minister of Information Technology and Sri P.C. Sharma IAS, Chief Secretary of Assam.

The ceremony was also attended by Sri P. P. Varma IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sri Niraj Verma IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Information Technology, Sri M.C. Boro, Commissioner & Special Secretary, PWD, Sri M. K. Yadava IFS, MD, AMTRON and Sri M.U. Ahmed, Chief Engineer, PWD, Assam.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon'ble Chief Minister stressed the need of connectivity across the state, particularly to the rural Assam and retreated Government's commitment towards fulfilling the gap in the connectivity scenario.
